I stayed in this hotel for one week with my wife and 3 kids. I need to start with the Concierge desk with Frances Harber. Even before our arrival she had made the difference. Our trip would have not been the same without her expertise, knowledge and help. She practically solved all my issues and questions in a very timely manner and also saved me $ on changing our tours around.
The breakfast buffet was included in our rate which was complete and also excellent. Many different choices to pick from and staff very attentive and friendly.
I cannot give the hotel 5 stars due to the LOCATION and LACK of a good restaurant at the hotel.
Most of the restaurants, shopping and nightlife are in the Center of town and Taxis are extremely expensive in Iceland. So having to take taxis into town and back becomes a budget of its own. A 5 minute taxi ride is around US$25-US$27
I suggest the hotel set up a shuttle service for guests to solve this problem.
The rest is perfect
