We booked a top floor suite with a balcony and the view didn't disappoint - excellent views of both the city and the mountains/sea beyond. The room was absolutely flooded with light, with huge windows/the balcony door making the room bright, sunny, and feel super open and more spacious. Hot water and shower water pressure in the shower were fantastic (a little detail I always appreciate!), and it was great to have tea/coffee facilities in the room as well as a mini fridge to store skyr and beverages in we'd bought at the local Bonus store.
The staff here was friendly and helpful. They even left a little gift (a box of chocolates and a lovely book of photographs of local Icelandic folks in Reykjavik) because they knew it was my partner's birthday! The location of the hotel couldn't be beat either - a quick walk down to the main shopping drag, Laugavegur, and about the same time up to Hallgrímskirkja, the huge church which offers amazing views and serves as a local bus stop for Reykjavik Excursions and other tour companies (truth be told, we just walked the extra 10 mins to the BSI bus terminal ourselves, but it was nice to have the option a bit closer). All in all, a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to anyone else heading to Reykjavik.More
