Could be lovely apartments, centrally located but oh so noisy and light at night in the apartments facing the road.
Good points
1. Location
2. Spacious
3. Tasteful and functional decor
4. Very warm
5. Very helpful staff

Bad points
1. Location - just to noisy with flimsy windows we heard everything.
2. Blinds poor quality so it was like daylight during the night.
3. Lots of things broken, window latch, blinds, jacuzzi bath, 4 spot lights out in the living room.

Ask for an apartment at the rear.

First of all the positives;
Brilliant and attentive staff.
Right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, airport bus drops off/picks up very close by. Excellent restaurants nearby and a supermarket. Close to some of the main.attractions.
Now the negatives;
Unfortunately the view was a back alley with graffiti and a nightclub exit door! The music played well into the early hours with lots of arguments outside the club doors that were unsettling. Staff dealt with the bottles early in the morning, so.if you like the sound of breaking glass.....
The room was classed as 'superior', however, the laminated flooring was in poor state, sofa bed very uncomfortable and the shower handle had flaking silver coating.
Room was cleaned and cleaned well everyday but it wasn't the four star quality I was expecting. Rather disappointed.
I am well travelled and always look for the positives, willing to take on board an adventure etc and laugh at the mishaps but the price I paid did not live up to reasonable standards.

Just booked a junior suite at Room with a view on Saturday till Sunday. It was very cozy and what a view over the city and the harbor. We loved it. Complimentary champagne as it was my birthday along with a note just made it even more cozy for us. The walk in shower was great. The staff was wonderful and Deborah just made this weekend getaway so much more pleasant for us. Great location and great staff.

Room tip: Try out the corner suite

Central location in heart of Reykjaviks old town. Good restaurants, cafes and parking garage (If you are traveling by car) RWV Aparymets located in busy pedestrian street close famous Café Kaffibrennslan(other side of the street).

There is nothing to complain about staff and rooms. Staff is friendly, kind and very helpfull. When you'll arrive they let you know everything... and even more. Rooms areclean and comfortable. Everything (shower, Wi-Fi??, tv) working quite well. Roomcleaning every day. Breakfast not included, own kichen as aprtmets usually have.

Worth for the money, If you are looking for basic clean, accomodation with Great location (public transport and car) and friendly staff. If you are tourist, almost everything is inside walking distance

Very comfortable studio apartment in a great downtown location. Walking distance to main shopping and restaurant areas.
The hotel staff were very accommodating sending us to excellent restaurants and organizing tours. The shuttle bus system worked well for us. I recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys walking and getting to know a city on foot.
