We originally wanted to try the Fish Market based on online reviews. When we arrived at the Fish Market, there were empty tables available but they turned us away... maybe because we weren't dressed the part. Too bad for them.

We walked around and came across this restaurant. As I never read any reviews on this place, I was hoping it was good. The place was very busy, but there were still a few empty tables and we were seated quickly.

We both had the seafood pasta. It came out pretty fast. There was no fishy smell or taste to it, which is good. It was pretty good. The price was approx. $30 per person for the entrée.

First day, tired and hungry needing something to eat.
No idea where to go and the hotel only serves breakfast so need something quick. This was just across the square and seem popular so gave it ago.
We were pleasantly supprised with the food and service.
We even returned for a second visit a few days later and the same quality and service was found.

We were taken to this marvellous restaurant located in the city center close to our hotel (Hotel Reykjavik Centrum) for our final night on the tour we were part of. This was a sit down meal not the usual buffet. The preparation, delivery, quality of food and atmosphere was incredible! We had salmon along with veggies and potatoes and all were so fresh and very recently cooked. Desert was also great! We saw other entrees, for example lamb and shish kabob and they were all so delicious looking and smelling! I wish i could eat there again! If you are in the city center look this place up and you will not be disappointed!

Lots of choices for a cafeteria type restaurant. Extraordinarily expensive like most things in Iceland. I would recommend bringing some food with you to save some money but if you need to eat there are some very good choices here.

Wow... one of the best meals we had in Iceland!! Stopped here with our tour group for lunch and was blow away (we are true foodies) never before have I seen a rest house/ tourist trap serve a gourmet meal like they did. There are two areas to get food- they both were stellar, can't go wrong! A must try if you're in the area!
