interesting but sad it took so long for it to be recognised for its historical importance.
so much was lost.
still a very informative visit, and worth a look.

Apparently these stones pre-date Stonehenge, UK. There is an interpretation centre before seeing the stones and alot of them are clad in scaffolding - not entirely to keep them up but for movement sensors to monitor any changes.
I can't say I was that impressed really, but they are certainly old. Thhey are in a nature area so can be seen in context.
Amazing ancient ruins in the middle of Gozo. It’s thought to worship the Nephilim from 3500 BC. If you have the opportunity to visit Hagar temples in Malta, I would say this is not a must visit, but if you have more than a day trip in Gozo, which I would highly recommend, plan to spend about an hour at this temple.
Nice museum and really old constructions outside (3500 B.C.) For me it was really impressive to see all those really old houses and temples.
I would recommend it!
It's hard to imagine that Prehistoric people were civilised artisans and engineers yet beyond their culture and beliefs, they were just like us. The entrance to this site is through an interesting, Interpretation Centre, which is worth spending time in before moving on to see the weathered remains. For one of the oldest freestanding structures in the world, these temples are surprisingly well preserved.
Tie in a visit to the Ta Kola Windmill, a very short walk away.
Wheelchair accessible a jewell we have and must be protected. Thanks to Heritage Malta for the amazing job.
