We discovered this gem one evening while looking for a different restaurant, and it blew our mind!
To be honest, it doesn't look like much from the outside. However, once you walk in you find yourself in a modern loungy restaurant with surprisingly comfortable wooden furniture.
When we walked in one of the owners came to greet us and asked whether we had booked. We hadn't, which did not turn out to be a problem though. Since the terrace was fully booked we were placed on a table close to the terrace so that we still could enjoy a little breeze.
Since we hadn't booked we were advised that it might take a little longer to be served. However, we didn't experience any delay. On the contrary, we were served without any delay.
The service was remarkable: The waiter took time to explain the different specials of the day and also explained how this restaurant only uses fresh produce, that the menu changes every week and that they have daily specials. All in all VERY thorough and informative - and in fluent English.
It should go without saying that the food was exceptional as well. We had starters, primi, secondi and dessert. That may sound like a lot - and it was - but the portion size was perfect and we never felt too full to eat the next course.
My starter was toasted bread with onions, herbs and oil. Not too fancy, you might say, but it was really good. I then had pasta with a chili tomato sauce, and finally a nice beef with truffle sauce.
Throughout the service was friendly and quick. We will definitively go again and we encourage everyone who is in Gozo for a couple of days to check it out too.
