On arrival in the lobby the personal was friendly and everything was ready we could just sign in and go to our large room. the bed was bigger than our own at home. From the forth floor balcony we were able to see the sea behind other buildings. For a better lookout we went to the rooftop on the ninth floor and the sight was amazing.

This is my third visit to the Palace and it never disappoints. Although this is a city type hotel it offers something for everyone including tourists. The rooms are so well designed and we had a lovely 180 view across to Valletta. If its not quite warm enough to use the lovely rooftop pool, there is a really nice indoor pool, sauna, steam room and gym that are all free of charge. There is also a very good spa which offers a range of deals on massages and beauty treatments.

The breakfast is amongst the best on offer anywhere and has somthing to suit all tastes. The only downside for me was that christmas songs were played constantly although this is just personal taste.

As well as the buffet restaurant and reknowned Aisan restaurant on the rooftop, talk of the town cafe offers a fantastic range of meals and snacks and has an outdoor area too. We had the hot wraps inc tandoori chicken in a curry sauce and spicy chilli con carne both of which were excellent and really good value. We also tried the pizza and soups all of which were fab. They also offer a range of platters to share including indian and asian for one or two people. Can also have afternoon tea, sandwiches and cocktails so its a good choice if you dont want to venture out.

The drinks at the bar were a tad hit or miss, not particularly cold and some flat but staff quick to rectify. We visited rocksalt a local cafe deli and the bar here could definitely learn a thing or two even in terms of serving in really nice glasses and offering something a little different. Rocksalt employ a Spanish lady who served the most amazing gins with black pepper, cardomom seeds, basil, spiced pumpkin jam etc served in huge bowl glasses with loads of ice and although its a small thing having someone thats really inventive would serve the hotel well.

The staff are extremely friendly and professional and the young lady who did our room (Jelena) was so lovely and had a smile on her face constantly.

The hotel is ideally located as you can easily access buses and boat trips to the whole island as well as gozo and also has great shops on the doorstep. Sliema isnt typically a tourist resort but its a great base.

I would definitely go back and the weathrr for december was great which is a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have amazing views

Rooms very big, two pools and a great breakfast. Good hotel bar with lowb
prices. Would recommend to everyone. Service was great; location is awat from Valletta and not at the beach but walking distance to ferry and harbour front bars an resto's in Sliema

Arrived beginning of Dec for 5 days - requested a sea view but got a the back of the hotel view - the room was enormous a mix of new and old furnishing and double sink bathroom - the shower handles could do with updating - the second day there was ants on the floor in the bed but told reception and they sorted it immediately - the staff was brilliant - the TV stations could be more English but overall it was a good stay
