The sense of history in these rooms is incredible and gives a real insight into how Malta played a crucial role in World War 2. I would like to return and take a guided tour as although the audio guide was informative I would have got so much more from a guide. This is the only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars.

Bought a combined ticket for War Rooms, Saluting Battery, Malta War Museum, Fort Rinella and it was certainly worth the money and time. The tour was really informative - thanks to Stephan. He was enthusiastic and passionate about conveying the history and the details of Malta's pivotal part in the war. We learnt so many interesting facts and would recommend to all age groups as you really felt a part of the history that went on.

I have been meaning to visit the war rooms for a long time, I finally found the time. Our tour guide was Steve, and what a tour he gave us. Steve is very knowledgeable about WW2, so he brought the tour to life explaining how Malta fitted into the bigger picture of what was happening in Europe and North Africa. His explanations are easy to follow. I'm sure Steve has done this tour many times, but he still does it with loads of enthusiasm as if it's his first. Site is very well kept and staff very friendly. Keep it up FWA. If you're a history buff a must to visit.

After visiting before many years ago, it was great to come back and see how much work has been done to restore this important site.

Stefan was our guide, he brought the rooms to life in a way with a passion for the story and heritage. Thanks again.

Would recommend to anyone visiting the city and with an interest in the second world war.
