We have just returned from the Louis Imperial 16th - 30th August (All Inclusive).

I have broken my review down in to several sections below.

Hotel: Main Entrance; Air conditioning very poor, furniture and carpets dirty and stained.
Reception Staff: Very good and pleasant.

Bedroom: Furniture and fittings: All very tired, dated and and worn, sliding windows badly fitted and needed a desprate clean,
Air conditioning poor. Mini-Bar (had to ask twice to get cleaned, only when travel rep intervened it was completed.
Also badly stocked no alcohol (if you wanted it, not even a beer) not re-stocked on a daily basis as advertised.

Bathroom: Shower, very poor (had to run around to get wet) rest of bathroom OK.

Room Safe: 3 euros a day, Very expensive.

Lifts: very slow and small.

Bars: Staff very pleasant & polite, wide range of drinks but only 1 beer available Keo. Cold frozen towels in the afternoon (very welcome!).

Restaurant: Very efficient and polite staff, Georgia is a real gem. FOOd:- fantastic cannot fault it in quantity or quality.

Outside Pool: Very dirty only cleaned for a short period each morning, quite often whilst people was in it. Also 'Black mould' around the edges of the pool and no sign of it being cleaned.
I reported that one of the pool lights (Glass lens) was broken in the shallow-end (very sharp and dangerious) and was told that it would be replaced, a week later it was still the same.
The pool has a piece of concrete missing in the floor about a foot square and a crack accross the entire pool.

Entertainment: Fantastic, both daytime and evening. The whole team Sandro, Christina, Sarah-Jane, Dominik, Kasia, & Frank is a real star.
The entire team really work fantastically hard to entertain everyone.

Sandro, "No I dont like your bag"!!! A very big thank you to the entire team.

In summary it was a good holiday despite all the above, I would go back once the planned refurbishment is completed.

Room Tip: The 3rd floor is the best.

We travelled for two weeks all inclusive with our two daughters aged 7 and 5.

We booked in Jan this year and it definitely was not a cheap option.

It is important to say we had a really nice time. The hotels location is great, the food is excellent, the hotel has lovely gardens which are well looked after and the place is kept very clean. It has a very small private beach which is perfect for the kids. The animation team are top notch, they do not stop all day and are not overly pushy. There was always something going on which is was a big plus.

However there are a few negatives. The place is in desperate need of updating, for the amount of money we paid, to say I was disappointed with the room is an understatement. Yes it was clean but it is genuinely no better than a cheap and dated travel lodge.

The all inclusive card system is a joke, we were asked once to produce our card in two weeks, not because the staff recognised us but because they were either too busy or could not be bothered. This meant that people who were not all inclusive enjoyed an all inclusive holiday on us. We were told by numerous half board residents they had not paid for a drink all holiday and had been helping themselves to sandwiches and ice creams again without charge. Obviously this was annoying seeing as we had paid extra for those services. How wrist bands are not a better way of quickly identifying who is all inclusive, I have no idea.

The pool is nowhere near big enough for the volume of people using it and on a couple of days it was filthy. This led to us using neighbouring hotel pools which were much larger, less manic and much cleaner.

The hotel was at capacity, although the staff were polite they were far from friendly, even considering we were with two small kids and were in the restaurant three times a day. I personally thought the man behind the pool bar was regularly very rude and very unhelpful. This being said the conditions the staff are asked to work in, in the restaurant is ridiculous. It is so hot, they have to wear an un sympathic uniform which means when they are serving you for dinner they are literally soaked through and dripping with sweat.

Enoughing moaning, we did have a good time. The kids loved it.
If you are going I wouldn't bother with all inclusive you can get the same services by paying for half board. Personally we would go to pathos again but I would look elsewhere to stay. There are so many other newer and better equipped venues.

Dear guest,

First of all, thank you for sharing your experience about your stay at the Louis Imperial Beach.

We were glad that your overall stay was enjoyable and that you much enjoyed the location, the quality of the food, the well kept gardens and the beach.

Your remark about the all inclusive system has already been addressed to the management and we will consider your comment for our improvement whenever possible. We understand you feeling about that and rest assured that we are looking into this matter.

Your other comments about the behavior of some of our staff will be taken into consideration for our improvement.

Thank you once again and we hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in our hotels. Should you wish to visit Paphos in the future, let us recommend you the Louis Phaethon Beach, recently renovated with new pools and waterslides.

Kind regards

We have just returned from the hotel where on the whole we had an enjoyable stay. However... there are some issues.
On the positive side; On the whole the staff were pleasant and very hard working. The restaurant was well organised and clean and the food always plentiful and well presented. The bedrooms were kept clean with plenty of clean fresh towels and sheets. The air conditioning in our room worked well although when left on low it was noisy. The annimation team worked hard and produced lively entertainment for those who were interested. The location is great and there are many shops and restaurants near by.
But...on the negative side.
Upon entering the foyer of the hotel you are greeted with extremely dirty rugs upon which sit tired sofas. (Not a very good first impression) The air conditioning in all the communal areas is very poor and is non existant in any of the lifts. The carpet throughout the corridors was stained in many places and needed a good vacuum. (Throughout our stay we didn't see anywhere being vacuumed) The hotel throughout is in need of refurbishment as it is extremely tired and out of date. The bedroom carpet was stained and the bed spreads and curtains mustn't have been updated in many years ( the curtains very dirty and off putting) The bathroom, albeit clean, is in desperate need of replacing. The main pool wasn't as clean as we have experienced in many other hotels although the indoor pool was kept clean. On the whole because of the need for refurbishment and updating we feel the hotel does not deserve the 4* rating but a 3* at the most!

Have been home from the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel a few days. I went with my Husband, mum, dad, sister and 11 year old son. The Hotel was very clean and the Entertainment staff were lovely and very friendly and worked very hard. The afternoon bar staff were very nice as well as the waiting staff in the resturant. A couple of the evening waiting staff however were not so good and we often had to wait for our drinks for a long time, on a couple of occassions I had to remind the waiting staff that we had been waiting for our drinks for 20 mins. On one occassions I did not receive my change and had to go to the bar to collect it.
The sun beds went very quick in the morning, one morning when going on a early trip at 7.30am we saw loads of people putting towels on sun beds. I think it would be a good ideal if a sun bed is allocated to a customer which they keep for the Holiday.
The inside pool was lovely and cool, it really cooled you down as the outside pool was like a bath. The inside pool was for Adults only, and not for kids, tho I agree that unsupervised kids should not be in the pool, I diagree that supervised kids with their parents having a quiet swim should be allowed. Twice my son came into the pool with us when the pool was empty as the midday sun was so hot but twice he got shouted at to get out by the lifeguard, which upset my son very much. It was not like he was making any noise just having a quiet swim to cool down.
The food was very nice and a lot of choice.

Dear guest,

We thank you for choosing the Louis Imperial Beach for your family holiday and for writing a review about us.

We are glad that you were very happy with our animation team and the plenty of activities going on all day!

Regarding the service at the bar, we are sorry for the lack of consistency that you have experienced. Even though we try to deliver the same quality of services, sometimes it can be lower when it gets busy. However, this is not an excuse and we will look into that for our improvement.

As for the indoor pool policy, we understand your point of view, however, if we make an exception, the risk is to have children indoor with guests complaining about that. To prevent this, we have to be a little strict with the rules and we hope for your understanding on this matter.

Thank you once again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you in our hotels in the nearest future.

Best regards
