We have just returned from a great holiday at the Imperial Beach in Paphos The location is the best of the hotels we saw it is right on the beach with an option of sunbathing on the beach round the pool or in the shady spacious gardens We always found a sunbed We travelled with our 15 year old son and it is the first time we have had a room with a third bed in it and have still had plenty of room to move around The food is excellent we never got bored with it even though we were all inclusive The choice is very varied and even the unadventurous are catered for with a carvery every night Most of the staff were lovely although one or two could learn to smile! The entertainment team worked really hard and the shows etc. were good mostly by the team themselves who have alot of talent The icing on the cake for us was that there were alot of lads our son's age and we hardly saw him!! It's only a half hour walk to the harbour and plenty of bars etc. near by if you want to get out of the hotel in the evening The only tiny criticism was that some of the more heavily used public areas in the hotel could have done with being swept/cleaned more often but there is a limit as to what you can do and our only real 'grump' no lights on the balcony! We would agree with the comments we read before we came on holiday i.e. whilst roomy and comfortable the rooms do need updating However this was our best all inclusive holiday by far and we would come back to this hotel (we are aged 55 55 and 15) Thomson's rep Emily was great too!!

We moved to the Louis Imperial after our first hotel was not quite what we expected. The hotel in a 20 minute walk from the harbour along a pleasant costal path - great food in the harbour restaurants. The pool area was roasting hot so we chilled at the loungers overlooking the sea. Room was spacious and clean. Food was an all you can eat buffet which was ok for that type of "keep it warm under hot lights" arrangement. Down side was that if you wanted to swap your evening meal for a lunch meal, you had to sit in the impossible hot poolside area to eat. I cope well with heat but this was too much! So we got a sandwich from the little supermarket opposite and ate in our room. Most staff were lovely and very helpful. Good place to go if all you want to do is bake in the sun.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks, it is in a dreadful state, and in need of a lot of investment, the water comes out at a dribble, the bathrroms are poor, cracked tiles and rotten doors. the curtain linerss were filthy, the carpet stained and the bed was iffy as the sheets didn't fit the matress and you ended up sleeping on the uncovered matress, not hygenic. The lifts were continually breaking down and there are no stairs that you would want to use except in an emergency, my wife was actually stuck in one on our last day. The lawn mower broke down so the quieter lawn was like a meadow, and the taped joints on the hedge trimmer cable on the main path to the beach was dangerous.

Thomson advertise this as a 4 star hotel, and do not tell you that you will be tortured by a group of so called entertainers on and off all day until mid night playing thimpty thumpty music, I sat on my balcony with a sea view which we paid extra for and all I could hear is the loud noise from the outside stage thumpty thumty, had to wait until after midnight to hear the sea.

The staff were generally brilliant, the food was good, but I called the resteraunt a canteen as it did not give a resteraunt feel, I ate out most nights even though we had to go half board which we did not want. Thomson restrict your options.

Overall I feel this hotel is over rated, overpriced and a great dissapointment, there are far better hotels nearby, the area is fantastic.

Just returned from our hols at the imperial beach with my hubby 3 children 1,10 & 11 and my parents, we all had an amazing time, ok the hotel could do with a refurb but everything else was perfect.the food was gorgeous and suited everyone's taste the waiters and bar staff worked non stop, the animation team were wonderful and all worked their socks off! the rooms were a nice size and very clean.my son turned 10 whilst we were there and he got presented with a yummy birthday cake and a huge torch type candle. Our thomson rep Emily was great and very attentive, she has a wide knowlage of Cyprus and recommended places to take the children. We all want to go back again asap, i would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone with children.

Returned back to gloomy UK after spending a wonderful 10-day break at the Luis Imperial hotel in Pafos. We're very happy with the hotel and its services provided. Food was really gorgeous, no one from our party could fault it. In fact all guests we spoke to whilst being there were very satisfied with the food. Great choices from various cuisines for all eaters with excellent quality. Service in bars and restaurants was very friendly and courteous. Demetri and his bar sttaff are working very hard and are always around to serve you especially Ligia & Domenica.
Rooms are quite large compared with other hotel rooms we stayed in. They're always kept clean. Yes, I agree with some other reviewers saying rooms need refurbishing but then again rooms are very spacious, clean and furniture kept in very good condition.
Gardens and swimming pools were really nice. Lots of space for all in the huge grass gardens, the 2 swimming pools. Pool staff & lifeguard around at all times to help one.
Reception staff also veyry courteus. Nothing was trouble for them every time we would need something. Senior staff also around all the time, hands on, assisting guests and ensuring all was OK.
Summing up, we enjoyed our stay at the Imperial and the intention of all of us is to return back next year. Thank you everyone. See you next year!
