Stayed for one night only as had function in Polis and didn't want to drive back to Paphos. Apartment was clean, bed comfy and ideally located for us, being ony200 yards from the bowling alley and pool hall.

We stayed at the Alkionest Hotel (previously The Lover's Nest, apparently!) in September 2012. We considered it fantastic value for money - the room was clean and spacious, with clean sheets and towels, and hot water. The kitchen area was fully equipped - for two people used to self catering in Greece, we considered it palatial! It had everything you needed - including a corkscrew, and a table and chairs for 4! For what we paid for it, and its proximity to Polis, we thought it was great. If you want more - pay for it! Paphos generally is v expensive, so we considered this a bargain. Our room had a balcony overlooking woodland and fields at the back-so quiet!- and we really enjoyed sitting there at night and watching the bats dive and weave. We used the pool area every day, bought a safe box and ordered from the pool bar just once (when there was someone there) At other times we used the well stocked supermarket just over the road - not a problem. The bus stop was also across the road - we used this too, which was a bonus. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday - Polis has some great restaurants which do All Day Breakfasts (how British!) and the village has a no-vehicle policy in the evening, which made dining out at night peaceful. We loved it - and because we paid so little for our accommodation, we had money in our pockets at night!
We've been there for 4 nights. Was not too easy to find, but is on one of the main road. Nothing special, the rooms have might been a little bit more clean and fitted, but if you are not looking for high standard of luxury and if you consider the hotel just as a place where you go to sleep, is perfect.
We stayed at this aparthotel in early October 2012. It was quite at the time and several of the apartments were empty. The hotel is dated and could do with a facelift. However I have never been in a cleaner hotel (certainly at the cost) they cleaned and changed all towels and remade the beds with freshly laundered sheets almost daily. The village of Polis is in high Paphos which is in the mountains some 25 miles from lower Paphos which is where the harbour is and all the tourist money is spent. I prefered the mountain area, it is both quieter and much more beautiful. having said that we travelled a great deal in the lower lands. A car is a must if you stay in Polis. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
On arrival lady on reception was asleep!!
Photos of rooms I guess were taken a while ago, as they are tired and in need of updating
Bar in reception never open
Only stayed 4 days and that was enough,Polis and Latchi lovely with some amazing fish tavernas.
Boats trips worth a go from Latchi.
Apartments spacious, clean, and in September we did not use air conditioning, even though it was still around 30 above zero, we often like other people leaving the door open to the gallery and it was enough to cool the room. We used a kitchen, but could be better equipped. Only 3 pots and a small pelvis, which are food připalovalo. We very much welcome the shops now pres street outside the hotel. Should everything you need, good prices, cheap beer and fruit mainly open until evening to get to know.
We used the pool a lot, every day was tidy, clean and water příjemná.Některé covers for chairs would like to replace, but otherwise we were happy.
The hotel is recommended for its convenient location. To the town of Polis with its shops, restaurants and a large and cheap business Papantoniou is a 10-minute walk. We rented a small motorbike for 18 euros per day and the beach we went way back to the camp, it took 4 minutes / walk about 15-20 minutes. On the bike we also went to the nearby hills where there are beautiful views of the countryside, sunsets, pubs, where time stands still. The couple from the Czech Republic
