We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and spacious rooms, comfortable bathrooms. Breakfast is equal to 5 stars hotel. Hotel located in a very nice area, 10 min walk to the old town. We can highly recommend this hotel.

A pleasant hotel located close to the university and accessible by two trams from the main railway station. Delightful conservatory to enjoy breakfast or a pleasant, relaxed lunch or dinner. Wait staff are very knowledgeable and polite. Rooms are well appointed and those at the back of the hotel shielded from any traffic noise. I have stayed here twice and the experience both times has been excellent.

Room Tip: quieter rooms at the back of the hotel

This was an excellent hotel, with spacious rooms by European standards. The beds were comfortable. It is close to the old town, less than a 10 minute walk. The hotel is on a quiet street but there are nearby restaurants. There is a small gym, as well as a spa and swimming pool. The free morning breakfast was very good, with excellent muesli. The hotel was built centuries ago, but it has been carefully maintained.

An old an charming hotel basically. A little disturbing that smoking is still permitted inside, thus using the bar is a no-go. Sad that somke and other stenches ("fatty dinner") can be reeked all over the hotel up to the thrid floor - I wonder if the ventilation system works properly.
Breakfast selection is very good, especially also the teas. Nothing to complain here.
Parking is convenient.
WiFi is slow and not very reliable, a pitty in 2015.
We had a adequately sized room with a shoer instead a bath as requested, so far so good. As the flushing of the toilet broke, we had to switch the room at about 23 hrs. Hotel staff tried to fix the toilet first, but to no avail. However, no one helped with the luggage when changing rooms. No big deal as it was next door, but nonetheless not the kind of service I expect. Matching though the general feeling of hotel staff being still part of "K&K-Austria" where people without proper titles don't get the same service as big-whigs.
In the new room, my giorld friend had a terrible mattress (hollow as a bath tube) and got very bad back pain. Upon insisting, staff changed the mattress for the second night.

Checking out, we were offered a "cup of coffee" for the inconveniences... Great service again... Upon talking about that offer, we gor a 15% deduction of the price, which seems fair to me.

Location of the hotel is a little bit out of the town center, but within 6 minutes walk your downtown, so very comfortable, especially since accessible by car.

We did not use the spa area, so I cannot report about this.
