Only a short drive from the Italian border , a steep climb brings you to the park. There is not a huge amount of parking and the park is on the mountainside so its not a flat walk but a gentle incline .
It is good value under 5 free and they give you a map - however it is pretty easy to follow. The animals are all typical of the mountains and the views over the valley are stunning. You need 50c coins if you want handfuls of suitable food for certain animals . Lots of benches and stopping/ picnic areas - water fountains - bring your bottle. At the end is a play area also a 'funbob' ( at a cost) and a very reasonable bar , restaurant where you can sit and watch the children play.
