Visited this place which is highly ranked in all similar sites. What to say, simply is average. Nothing special. Desserts and food will not disappoint if you don't have exceptional expectations. Just keep in mind it's just a point to relax for an half hour on your long walk in Vienna. Only one thing is not obvious for me is why business owners don't want to invest in their people... coffee is terrible, cappuccino is not cappuccino it's just a liquid with milk foam on the top...
But again if you wait this you will not be disappointed.

Great place for a strudel and a cup of coffee or tea. Friendly authentic atmosphere, enormous choice of all-you -could-imagine sweets, pastries and cakes. Recommended!

Since there are quite a few Oberlaa locations, I was hoping I'd eventually bump into one while in Vienna, and I did! I was excited to see quite a few gluten free options for me to choose from, but I decided on the Höllander cake (milk chocolate mousse, candied orange accents, rolled in almond slivers) to take with me on my train ride to Budapest, and it was super yummy! Staff is very knowledgeable and all the GF available treats have "zutaten ohne gluten" on their labels. Definitely will be back to try the other GF choices!

While you're there, make sure to enjoy both the main dishes AND deserts. Several vegetarian options available. A full lunch is served at the upstairs restaurant. The only downside is that I had to ask for the check 5 (!) times and waited for it for overall ~20 minutes...
