It’s obvious why Freud loved this place so much. Gorgeous arches and marble. But, I came to see its history for a brief moment. Would have liked to have been able to take a coffee and pastry to go. Perhaps it’s purposeful they do not offer this, to preserve, but - I’m just giving my perspective as a solo tourist trying to experience the tastes of a place so historic without breaking stride seeing the rest of the city.
