Enjoyed my stay in this excellent hotel. Excellent Breakfast, lunch and dinner Buffet. The only problem is you have to walk a long distance to reach your room. The hotel is located in an excellent location, very close to train station, shopping area and restaurants.

Although it is not in the center of Vienna, this hotel has a great location, right across from Schonbrunn Park! Subway to the center a few steps from the hotel, and less than 10 minutes away, as well as buses and trams. It is in a very familiar and cozy neighborhood, with everything you need around, nice restaurants, grocery. Comfortable, spacious and clean room. Very classic hotel with a historic relevance, since it used to be the guest house for the palace. A great way to get to know more of Vienna, than if staying in the center. They have a wi-fi rental, to have internet access all over the city, great service.

Really enjoyed our stay at this well located, very clean and comfortable hotel. The hotel had lots of chandeliers which added to some old world glamour. Our room was a good size and the bed was really comfortable and we found the bathroom to be spotless and the shower although over the bath really good. Towels were replaced daily. We enjoyed the buffet style breakfast with a wide range of hot and cold choices. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night and both enjoyed our meals. The metro was nearby and was cheap and easy to use as a means of getting into central Vienna and back to the hotel. Staff although not chatty were helpful if we ever asked for anything. Overall really enjoyed our stay here

I had the pleasure to stay in that hotel whilst being on a conference. My room was really spacious with a separated bathroom and separated toilet. Loved the bed. In the bathroom i had the tube standing in the middle of the room. All over i really like the room and it’s style. all very clean.
The breakfast is excellent!

We both wanted to visit Vienna - so a last minute weekend was booked. What a delight. Hotel (via booking.com) was ideal - it is near to the Schoenbrunn Palace (10 minutes gentle walk through the park & almost directly opposite the Zoo entrance. Easy for the U Ban connection for centre of town. The room we were given was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the gardens but this made it peaceful. Not sure if the rooms at the front would have bee so quiet due to the road?
We had not picked the most expensive room option but we did go bed & breakfast. . Our room was large, spacious and with a wonderful bathroom. The bathrooms had a small balcony and a free standing bath - so on one warm evening, I had my bath and had the balcony doors open. I think we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor.
The breakfast was very good with a full selection of cereals, breads, pastries, ham. cheese, fruit and with hot options too. One of the best cheese selections I have ever seen in a hotel at breakfast.
The staff were friendly and quite typical Austrian, maybe a touch reserved for some peoples tastes but it is a capital city hotel and as usual any Austrians we dealt with had impeccable manners.
So much to do in Vienna - but just walking the streets is fascinating. I appreciate everyone has different ideas of what they want on holiday, so I will not say "you must do this" but I will mention 3 things we did which were worth our time and definitely made our trip.
1. Schoenbrunn Palace concerts -I know they sound a little touristy but, if you can ignore the bus loads of tourists (mainly from Asia) who do not know how to behave in a live music concert - the first time in my life that I have ever witnessed ushers at a concert having to patrol the hall reminding certain sections of the audience not to stand up and video it on their phones! Forget that - just enjoy the music - it was beautiful and in such elegant surroundings - you can book tickets on line or at the Schoenbrunn palace, the box office is a further 3 mins walk from the main entrance.

2. The Third Man museum Yes there is one!! It is run by a film buff and an obsessive fan of the Third Man - he started off with one small apartment as the museum, and now it is three large apartments all connected with room after room of memorabilia, stills, music, props, history of the book, film, actors and the musician who wrote such an iconoclastic score. It truly is a delight to visit - it is entirely funded by ticket price - no state / govt. support. In particular the basement exhibition about how Vienna really was during and after the war is interesting, tragic and very sobering - so worth seeing.

3. The last one is really only if you are a horse lover - The Spanish Riding School. Yes the actual show is wonderful but at approx. 145 euro each it is a little steep, however if you really love horses, pay the much reduced fee of around 20 euro's and go and watch them train for 2 hours. I had a front row seat, and to see how they train the horses, to listen to the master trainer was amazing. They train all levels so you get to see young horses starting their training, to the horses they use in the show and to see the technical effort horse and rider put in along with the obvious years of training is well worth the time. Just wrap up warm - even in the summer the indoor school is cold (all stone).

Room Tip: the rooms at the back are definitely quieter. The views are still great. Book B&B it is much better value
