We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Regina and I'm glad I picked it for our first visit to Vienna. The room rates are very reasonable compared to the rates in the city center or inside of the Ringstraße (ring road around the city).

Great breakfast. I've stayed a several hotels in major European cities and the breakfast at Hotel Regina is up among the best as far as quality, quantity, and selection. Coffee pots at the table so we never had to ask for anything. Even our picky 10 year old was able to find food they liked!

Front desk was helpful and polite. We were made to feel welcome.

WIFI consistently worked.

Attached restaurant Roth was outstanding as well. Great service and reasonable prices. Food was very good.

Great location: Not too touristy of an area. Our room had a nice view of the gothic Votivkirche down the street. Once block from the subway and street cars. Taxi stand right out front. Big Bus tour stop #5 in front of the Votivkirche only a block away. A half dozen cafes within a block or two. Outside but right next to the Ringstraße.

The decor is on the old school side but I liked that. I would stay here again.

Hotel Regina is in an excellent location for exploring Vienna, just outside the centre, but close to the ring that runs round the outside of the city centre. Just across Sigmund Freud park are the Big Red Bus which is hop on and hop off. The hotel staff are very welcoming, pleasant and courteous and will go out of their way to help you. Our room was at the top of the hotel, comfortable bed, small but very clean ensuite and everything that you needed. We were there for three days and it was great to get back each evening after a day's exhausting sightseeing. The most amazing thing about the Hotel Regina is it's daily breakfasts. They are phenomenal, the choice and range of breakfast food is amazing and everything is replenished regularly and cooked fresh. The scrambled eggs with chives is delicious. In fact, there are people coming from outside to have breakfast at the Hotel Regina. I would strongly recommend Hotel Regina when staying in Vienna and we will certainly stay there when we next come to this glorious city.

Uncomfortable beds, and the rooms feel a little outdated (it is a really old building). Our room had a windows that did not look out to anything other than other people's room.

The location is great and they do have a good breakfast.

A good location for exploring the city. Nice room with comfy bed. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Perhaps in need of some updating but friendly helpful staff. The hotel had a nice atmosphere.

Rooms were sweet, cozy, clean, and no-nonsense. Frills were kept to a minimum: One guest = one pillow and one towel. Beautiful old "bones" to this place -- sweeping central staircase, wide halls, lovely lobby and exterior. Historic photographs and displays from the hotel's history dotted throughout. Very generous breakfast buffet included. Restaurant was surprisingly good and affordable, with outdoor seating on the gorgeous patio.
