Our accommodation overlooked this square and so we spent quite a bit of time walking through it and visiting the various buildings and sights in it, though these were restricted. It's a nice central square in Vienna but that houses the fountain and has a few bars/restaurants around its sides. However, the square is not pedestrianised and is basically a large car park and thoroughfare. It can get busy with people but especially vehicles. There are other far better squares in Vienna.
