Just love this hotel. It is quirky hallways as it is a really old building. But I love it. Love the rooms as they are all different and really cool. The staff at the front desk is just the best. Super nice and friendly. Specially the one really good looking guy from northern Norway. He is a star:-)
Breakfast is really good. I love that there is lots of bacon. :-).

Get off the train and into the hotel. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Be advised, weekends can be a bit rowdy, since the locals party, but closed windows keeps the noise down.
Breakfast is the best.
One of the most interesting train stations / lots of restaurants and great beer..

We stayed here for 2 days 3 nights and it was a good location for our stay. The rooms were small but functional for our stay. We used this location to be able to roam around the city in all directions from this location.

I loved that it was easy to access the Opera House, the train station and the main road to shopping, sights and restaurants. As mentioned, access to the train station for coming into the city and going out was easy to walk through the lobby and into the train station. No dragging bags across cobble stone roads.

This hotel is a mixed bag, but 4 star it's not.
Positive: Room cleaning by request the night before - so your passport should be safe,
Reasonably good WiFi, Breakfast is quite good and better than anticipated, Front Desk staff are busy, backed up, but great attitude, Best location in Oslo.
Negatives: Hot, Dormatory feeling with bizarre decor, No amenities except toilet paper.
Living out of your suitcase, small rooms, no, very small rooms. (Even the hotel staff thought our room was untenable, what does that tell you?)

Room tip: Demand a decent-sized room.

Hi there,
Thank you for your positive feedback! So happy to hear that you were happy with the service, WiFi and breakfast. Sorry to hear that the room was not as expected. We have several rooms in different sizes and I am sure that we have other rooms more suitable.

I hope that you will give us another chance on your next trip to Oslo.

All the best,

Johanna & Team

We spent night here after a long train trip arriving at 11-30pm. The location is great as it is part of the Central train station.
No problems with check in and our superior room was enormous with two sofas, desk etc. I agree with others that the lack of such things as bathroom glasses is strange and also the lighting in our bathroom which was sensor operated. It took us a while and a phone call to work this out. At first we thought it was because we had been given a "disabled room" but we were told it was the same in all rooms. This means if you get up in the night and go to the bathroom the bathroom light goes on - this can wake the other person. It was all a bit odd.
Breakfast was fine - usual Norwegian selection but no expresso coffee.
Decor is interesting - I liked it - very minimalist in an industrial way.
We also noticed quite bit of noise outside like a generator after midnight and had to close the window. However, the AC works reasonably well and that was not a problem, Nice view of the Opera House and harbour from our room.
