We picked this small hotel for its location, about 8-10 minutes drive from Rick Stein's restaurant at Sandbanks, and were very happy with our choice.
Our room (6) was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and I felt that a lot of thought had gone into providing everything that you could need for a hotel stay, so as well as tea and coffee making facilities there were cookies and mineral water, and although it was a small room there was enough space to hang clothes for one or two days, somewhere to sit, a huge flatscreen TV, full length mirror, hairdryer, fan etc.
The decor was surprisingly 'Hollywood' for a very traditional looking hotel!
I enjoyed the selection of fresh berries and yoghurt at breakfast, but my scrambled egg was overcooked, so a bit disappointing, as was the soggy toast, however all was served with a smile.
The hotel is situated in a quiet residential road and had plenty of parking. We walked down to the nearby beach and also visited Compton Acres gardens which is only minutes away by car.

Stayed here for one night after ferry journey from Cherbourg to Poole. Arrived late but we were given a warm welcome and quickly shown to our room. Everything was extremely clean and room was large and comfortable. Slightly old fashioned decor but reminded me of typical English sea side hotels. Welcoming chocolate, biscuits and ample tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was excellent. So nice to have breakfast served rather than the usual buffet. Juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc and full English, ham and eggs or fish. Great choice, friendly service. Did not investigate the area as we went on our way after breakfast. Would recommend.

Stayed on business and it was good. Very good pub with good food very close. Parking spaces but do park neatly or you'll get told off! Breakfast looked good but cooked food starts at 730 so we just had continental. Room not large but adequate and comfortable bed.
