Stayed 1 night - excellent value - WiFi somewhat intermittent in our room but otherwise evening meal tasty and facilities at accommodation included all the basic essentials. Staff helpful and polite. We stayed while on a visit to Wentworth Woodhouse.

This is the third time of staying as it is close to Wentworth Woodhouse, the biggest house in the UK. Mentioned in book Black Diamonds and is full of character and local characters. Food in the pub is excellent and the staff very friendly.
Bedrooms are situated across a busy road and suffer from road noise. The bedrooms now need revamping as they are tired and a number of items did not work eg light and shower curtain in bathroom. Cannot recommend another stay until these rooms are upgraded. A great pity.

We stayed one night. Good clean twin bedded room - number 3. Everything worked well. Close at hand car park. Pub food evening meal was fine; we were not expecting anything else. Breakfast likewise. £52 bed and breakfast for 2 was extremely good value. Another £50 or so for dinner including a bottle of wine and a drink beforehand was hardly exorbitant. Cheerful staff and we were made very welcome.
It is a pub in a small village. Don't expect the Ritz. Go there and ignore the moaning minnies.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting Wentworth Woodhouse nearby. Lovely village. Good pub food, Staff very pleasant. Room in the old cottages opposite slightly dated and needing slight refurbishments, but no major faults. OK for a short stay. Reasonable value for the money!

Visited here with friends for a few birthdays, was told our table was in the room downstairs, this is fine and there is a bad down there but it wasn't open and had to go back upstairs for drinks, the pub was very busy and space very limited, would be much better if some one was serving in the downstairs bar.

Could not fault the food it was lovely, everyone had different and everyone said how nice it was. The real stink in the tail is the price of the drinks. Order 2 pints of lager and nearly dropped to the floor when I was asked for nearly £9! This is Yorkshire not London (we can be a bit tight us Yorkshire folk).

All in all a lovely evening just a few minor points that could have made it better.
