Rosemary and David are the most welcoming of B&B hosts, whether you are old, young, able bodied or disabled. The modifications they have made to this lovely bungalow make it not the least bit 'institutional'. Instead, you feel that you are just sharing Rosemary and David's home for a day or 2. We would thoroughly recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: All rooms very accessible.

Brook fields is a very good B&B. Rooms have very comfortable beds, hotel standard ensuites in a extremely quiet part of village. There is good parking and a lounge. Breakfast has to be only described as outstanding with David even catering to special requests! The hosts also have a useful extensive knowledge of the area. Would stay there again and already recommended it.

When I was a kid. My dad said to me that if you find a really great place to stay keep quiet so no one else knows. And this is what you have here.

You wake up to a breakfast when you want it. Cooked how you like it.
You wake up to cow's mooing. Cockrell's giving it large and the odd horse getting vocal. Its great!

5 mins down the road is Budleigh Salterton. And an hour and a half north or south gives you either bude or brixham.

We stayed in the blue room with our teenage daughter and it's more than big enough and if I could find a way to take the bath with me I would!

Want to sit in the living room? Feel free.

This is a home away from home and David and Rosemary make you feel part of the family.

Would we come back? Well this was actually or second time there but I never did trip adviser then.

Yes we will be back. It's a great place.

We needed somewhere to stay near Sidmouth that had good facilities for my wife, who is a full-time wheelchair user. We were lucky to find Brookfields.

David and Rosemary made us very welcome, listened to what we needed, and helped. We stayed in the Green Room, which was excellent - well-furnished, very clean, and sensibly planned with enough space to move a wheelchair around. Very quiet - apart from the birdsong! The bathroom adaptation is just what we needed, easy to use shower and other facilities.

The breakfasts were very good, David and Rosemary gave us a lot of choice and quality ingredients. They also helped us by fact-finding about wheelchair access with a local (very good) restaurant.

Altogether a very nice stay that met all our needs and surpassed our expectations!

We stayed here with another couple following the funeral of a mutual friend in Budleigh Salterton. Brookfields has all the good qualities of a friendly guest house. A warm welcome, comfortable bedrooms, a piping hot shower and a delicious breakfast. David kindly drove us to the local pup where the food was good, and on our return shared some of his delicious sloe gin.
