When we arrived I noticed how tired looking the front of the Berkshire arms was could do with a lick of paint and the good night inns look worn as well .
The rooms were comfortable and clean .beds were huge.
Had a good sleep the ist night. The second 2 men were having an argument above us chairs and tables being thrown and someone had been smoking on our floor which made the whole place stink
On the whole it was ok ish
Credit to the staff in the pub they worked there socks off

Most of the bitter was off, Only the awful Greene King IPA available. I ordered a superior bitter, but they brought IPA,and lied. Deceitful. Service as usual took ages. Was over half an hour before they took the food order. Full of British Gas and SSE trainees as usual,

I stayed at this hotel with a work colleague for 2 nights, my review will probably be the same as all the others. This is a cheap basic hotel. It is tired and needs a refurb. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and staining around the bath & basin.
As this was a work trip with a colleague it was ok as neaded somewhere cheap to stay and you always get what you pay for.

Just devoured slowly a slow cooked huge rib of beef that just melted in your mouth accompanied by delicious BBQ sauce, pulled pork that was divine, sweet potato chips cooked to perfection, corn on the cob and homemade coleslaw...incredibly tasty. Atmosphere lovely, decor amazing with lots of nooks for cosy dining or big tables as required for a party. Friendly helpful staff...def will be coming back with family and friends, 11/10 Berkshire arms!

I booked this hotel so that I could visit friends and family in Berkshire - I didn't want to spend a lot of time here, I just needed a HQ where I could get ready to go out and crash in the evening. The staff were nice enough - but the hotel ran out of irons. I had to go to a friends house 5 miles away just to iron my shirt. Also, the 'double bed' was two twin beds pushed together and had a large gap down the middle.

The room was a good size, there was no noise issues and it was warm. The bathroom was a good quality with great water pressure. I would consider staying here again provided the double bed was actually a double bed - however the price would have to be much less than the £65 I paid.
