It was a lovely sunny day, so quite busy. The lady was really helpful, in finding us a table. The service was good, nice polite staff. Food menu was good, we had lite bites, club sandwich with fries, baked potato and a children's fish a chips.

All where good, the little one really liked the fish. Club sandwich was on really nice brown bread, the rest was nice, the baked potato was fine, and well cooked.

We'd use the place again.

We went to the pavilion gardens and fed the ducks with my two year old grandson. He loved it then we went in the testaurant for lunch - staff were very attentive and lunch was very tasty and served quite quickly considering they were quite busy

Would definitely return and gift shop well worth a visit

After being seated my husband & I waited & waited for someone to take our order and we were just about to get up and leave when a young man appeared by our table to take the order. The carrot cake & lemon cake with two cappuccino's were all really good and we both enjoyed them. It was just such a shame that the service was so bad.

A pleasant cafe with an excellent choice of delicious looking cakes. Part of the Pavilion Garden complex which has a very good selection of art work. A good respite from a very wet outdoors!

Visited the café today for lunch, the food was lovely, however the service was practically non-existent.

On entry, a sign directs you to a waiting area, where you do indeed wait...and wait...and wait. We had to prompt a waitress to give us a table.

After browsing the menu, we again waited, before asking another waitress to take our order.

This arrived relatively quickly, was freshly made and very good.

The waitress who saw we had finished cleared the table and showed some unexpected initiative by asking if we wanted anything else, then bringing the bill.

We again waited before getting someone to take our money. Then it appears they had been paid, as everyone gathered around a desk to look at payslips.

To get our change we had to get up, go over, remind them that we'd already paid and eventually got the change.

I won't be returning, which is a shame, because by replacing all the front of house staff (who I guess are untrained students on their summer break), it could be a very nice lunch spot.
