We spent a couple of nights here and had a lovely time and used it as a base to visit nearby Chatsworth House and Bakewell (about 30 mins away). Apart from a few cobwebs the room was clean and well presented with modern furniture. My husband is 6' 4" and the bed was a little on the small side for him but was comfy. Wifi is only available in the bar which was a shame as the signal was non-existent for me but it depends if that's important to you. The food was delicious, I am a vegetarian and was well catered for - the veg curry was top notch and the veggie sausage breakfast was yum. Frank and Janette were great hosts and gave a very warm welcome.

Just what a pub B&B should be, warm, cosy, comfortable and easy going. Great food, good ale and friendly people. We were escaping from some major works being done on our own home, and were sorry to leave. Wi-fi is available but only in the bar.

We used booking.com as a last minute decision to spend a night in the peak district.

Arrived at the B&B just before 6pm. There was a sign on the door that said the place was closed but with a number for B&B guests. With just enough phone signal to get through we made the call and were welcomed in to the very warm Inn. Our room was immaculate with a beautiful view of the land.

Dinner and drinks were served in the bar. Good prices and fantastic quality.

Great nights sleep and breakfast the next morning was fresh and filling.

Hosts were welcoming with some great tips for future stays.

Great stop for walking holidays.

We enjoyed a three night stay at the Jug and Glass Inn. It is an excellent base for walking and sightseeing, easy drive to Buxton, Bakewell and Ashbourne. Frank and Janette gave us a warm friendly welcome with comfortable, nicely decorated rooms and home cooked food (tastiest steak and ale pie I've had in a while with the best gravy). Thanks for making us feel at home, we will see you soon.
