We had a great tour here this week. It is a smaller cave than Wookey Hole which we have visited before but the tour guide Ron had a wealth of information and always kept things engaging and fun.
We looked up the hidden cave '7th Heaven' on Youtube that he mentioned which was good to see as well.
We took some really beautiful photos and even saw some bats near the entrance.
Ron also gave my daughter a telescope/microscope pen that he found in a box when we were buying things in the gift shop, which really made my daughters day and he had no need to do.
The cafe was also really nice and enjoyed a very tasty Chai latte.
A great couple of hours.
An excellent tour with Alison. She was an exceptional guide being clear and informative. The Cavern was well lit with easy access. We highly recommend it, especially on a wet day!
On Thursday last week we enjoyed climbing high to Soloman's Temple with its wonderful 360 degree views. Then on Friday we joined a small group to explore Poole's Cavern with our excellent tour guide (I think he said his name was Ron). He made it a really interesting tour and gave lots of information about the history and formation of the caves with lots of humour too. Well worth a visit.
We had a lovely time at Poole's Cavern yesterday. Martin, our guide, was entertaining, informative and very friendly. He was wonderful with our 7-year-old who had lots of questions, and he made the tour extremely immersive.
As a home-ed parent, we also found the online education worksheets and mini-museum really useful!
Really interesting tour! Guides were very informative and knew a lot of history about the caves. Lovely little area for the children before you go into the caves!
