We visited the Maltings on the 11th December and were made aware of a 45 minute wait for food however 2 hours later we still hadn't received our food. Our server Michelle was a saving grace and you should be proud that she works for you!

Was seated and told table service due to covid, which is fine, but we sat for 25 mins waiting for someone to take the order. I then had to wonder over to get the staffs attention to ask if we can order. Staff were just stood behind the bar on their phone. Both meals I had fancied were out of stock and I was only told this when they finally came over to take our order. Starters were fine but £7 for 4 halloumi fries is ridiculous. Mains arrived and I had ordered steak, it was awful. Full of fat, overcooked and the chips were basically half an uncooked potato. Inedible. Hunters chicken was £12 for a small overcooked chicken breast, one piece of bacon and a drizzle of bbq sauce, again with those huge horrible chips. Won’t be going back in a hurry that’s for sure!

First time having a takeaway from one of our local pubs. Food was delivered early, it was hot, tasty, and well presented. Will definitely order again

Excellent covid measures. Lots of outdoor booths which are individually heated. Very good reasonably priced menu. Pleasant staff with efficient service.
