After reading reviews and speaking to people about this place, we were really excited to go and try it out. We arrived to an empty bar/restaurant. The menu is pricey but if the quality is good, we don't mind paying for it.
The veg for the fish pie had seen better days. The sirloin was nicely cooked. Was it value and of high quality for the price they charge? No.
We didn't care that we were the only ones there but what was rather noticeable in an empty pub was the conversations between staff and I assume the owner?? Discussing staff disputes, bad mouthing other staff members etc is completely unprofessional.
Would we go back....probably not.
