I travel all over the world as you all know, and when in the uk I tend to stay in st annes at the glen-dower hotel
Now normally it's fabulous as I'm a regular and stay a lot I always book a seaview room twin or king superior
I call them direct or use a company online like booking .com
Ok so imagine my upset when I called to book and was told to book online by a young receptionist I said I stay a lot and she said you need to book online we're full
So I went on and booked and put in the comments it was me And asked for the normal
Room if it was free or 1 near the lift as hubby has walking difficulties ....
Then I called the hotel direct after I booked said I had booked and told the same girl my requirements if possible
And said any twin or seaview near lift please ....
Ok so I fly to the uk
Drive 5 hours to the hotel from London and get there tired just want to take a shower and rest
Well the lady on reception told me the rooms not ready yet ok I said could I pay for early check in I was told no....
Ok.... I asked for the manager and she came out said hello and I explained she said ok....
we have only one seaview left you're one and it's on the second floor up 2 flights of stairs and not near the lift ... and not a seaview really just part
so I said has everyone else checked in she said no I said well I booked a superior/ executive seaview twin/double my normal room and I was told no it's taken I said could you not move anyone please as you no I stay a lot and I always take that or near to that room she was very rude and said no
I asked why and she said we're full so after half hour of standing there getting nowhere
I had to leave as the room I had booked £379 for 2'days was not free.... well I was not happy I went on there site and seen there was seaview rooms available for that night I tried to call them but they continually were engaged for 4 hours or so I used a friends phone and it rang right away I checked and they must have blocked my number or something as it was still engaged time on mine as I was ringing them from a friends phone !
I got through asked for the manager and a guy came on
He said he was sorry the room got passed to disabled guests I said my husband is disabled and we always have that or near to that room I explained I had asked and he
He apologised and said there is nothing I can do..... I am 100% upset and so let down by this hotel
I give credit we're credit is due but the way I was treated was beyond belief and I am very unhappy about this
I send a lot of people to this and other hotels with my reviews and I am upset that I was treated in this way
I eventually got another hotel aT double the price and I feel the glendower should offer to rectify this situation as it is very very unprofessional of them and especially to guests who stay a lot
Just wanted to make everyone of you aware
Make sure you know what you're getting at this hotel as if they can treat me like this they can anyone
I am disgusted by the manager lady with the blond hair on the front desk I thought she was nice but no she was nasty and very rude
Did not want to help in anyway- she even told me they no longer have twin bed rooms??? I went upstairs and them rooms were all empty getting ready for check inn? Why she could not have moved us for the 2 days is beyond me?? That's the room I booked
No one else had yet checked in to it ....
Well why?

Sadly your version of events, bear no resemblance whatsoever to the the truth. You have harassed members of my team and I will NOT stand for your bullying aggressive manner towards them or me. You are not welcome in my hotel, please do not try again to book via an online travel agent as we have your card marked, you are not welcome.

We stayed here for 1 night during the Lytham festival - we upgraded to a executive sea view room and it did not disappoint - beautiful room, lovely beds, clean, big and a great view of the beach - The best thing about this hotel are the staff, so friendly and helpful - they really made our stay special from the reception, to the restaurant to the night bar staff - all of them were really lovely and welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay at the seaside, we will definitely be back and we will bring the dog next time! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: worth upgrading to executive with a sea view - lovely rooms

We had our wedding here on Friday 4th August.
The hotel is lovely and the rooms were excellent.
Breakfast was absolutely amazing and catered for all needs!
Our Wedding itself was a very special day. The staff catered to our every need. They worked so very hard to please us all. The Georgian suite looked fantastic, beautifully decorated.
Sophie our wedding co ordinater did an excellent job as did all the staff who were very attentive.
Food was excellent, service 5 star.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

family room clean newly appointed rooms, plenty of towels, comfy beds, and facilities in room - only minus 2 flights of stairs to room , glad i just had hand luggage , didn't have breakfast or use any other hotel facilities.

Fabulous hotel. Clean, luxurious welcoming and homely. Should be 4 star! Waiting and bar staff were outstanding. Can't recommend highly enough . Staff dealt with an incredibly rude and very difficult guest who was upsetting others with such professionalism .. well done!
