Without a doubt the best Shetland boat trip we have had, and we have tried a few. The boat is comfortable, both internally and on the water. Phil is the most genial host with huge amounts of information and knowledge. Great platform for photography and the crowning glory .... the Gannet feeding frenzy. Just a Wow and should not be missed. We will be going again, and soon. Thank you, from two very happy passengers.

Both myself and my boyfriend, Mark jumped on board on Monday 25th June and it was perfect. Mark is particularly interested in Birds whereas I am pretty obsessed with Marine Mammals. This trip was spot on for us both. The gannets were amazing and as for the grey seals hopping on board, I was in shock! Such an amazing experience made even better by Phil. The guy knows his stuff and made us all feel comfortable! Special thanks from us both to Phil for keeping us up to date with Orca sightings and also the bearded over the following few days! Will definitely be back and on that boat, keep up the good work

Went on this tour when we were on cruise with hubby, daughter and son-in-law. Wasn't expecting much as I have been on other seabird tours in New Zealand and Alaska and we just saw birds sitting in small groups here and there. This tour is totally different.
Phil, our skipper and guide, brought a small group of us (about 12) out to the Noss cliffs where we had a spectacular view of the gannet population nesting in the cliffs. We also caught sight of the shy puffins and the black guillemots. The highlight of the tour was when Phil "deployed" fish down a self-made tube along the side of the boat. This allowed the fish to "sink" into the sea and attracted the gannets to dive into the sea to retrieve the fish. The sight of the gannets diving from great heights straight into the sea right in front of us is something that we will never forget. We even managed to catch it on video. Simply amazing!
On our way back to the habour, Phil stopped to feed the "resident" harbor seal George, who gamely climbed partially up the back of the boat to receive the treats. Another photo opportunity!
Phil is an excellent guide - making sure we were safe, while encouraging us to step out to the back of the boat at the right times to capture those amazing moments. He also has an excellent knowledge of the birds and wildlife of the area.
Phil also kept in close contact with us through email prior to the tour and we almost had the tour cancelled because of the early morning fog (Phil emailed in the early morning to warn us of the possibility of cancellation). Fortunately, the skies cleared and we had a beautiful day out.
Would highly recommend this tour.

A ‘must do’ excursion whether you are an avid birdwatcher or have no interest in birds at all. I always though Lerwick was the capital of Shetland. Now I know its the Isle of Noss.

If you like gannets, this is a trip you can't afford to miss! The boat seems to be practically new, and holds just a dozen visitors, so everyone can get a good view of everything. Safety is taken very seriously throughout the trip. We saw razorbills, guillemots, puffins, great skuas and more before we got to the gannetry. The ride to the gannetry was a little bumpy due to the easterly winds, but the skipper had warned us of this in advance, and the boat coped well. The gannets were an amazing spectacle! Not only on the cliffs, but diving into the water just feet away from us. On the way back, we visited a seal, which made a concerted attempt to clamber into the boat. Fabulous! By far one of the best wildlife tours I've ever been on.
