This was my go-to during the recent Up Helly Aa festival when a lot of other places were closed. Very good fish and chips!

The Firt Cafe undoubtably sell th best fish and chips in Shetland bar none.
Don't expect the Ritz in decor, as the Cafe is clean and simply furnished. The Cafe food is cooked separately from the take away meaning. It is as fresh as can be.
The take away menu is also excellent. The fort Cafe is tucked away and if you are not local you will probably have to ask where it is. But follow directions to Fort Charlotte and the Cafe can be found below it. They is good parking on the same street
Thoroughly recommended.

I've been here a fair few times and find it a really decent chippy. Food quality is always very good although the chips can be a little dry on occasion. Portion size is good too and there's always enough to satisfy a hunger.

You need to take cash, however, as they don't take bank cards... Thankfully a cashpoint is only a couple of minutes walk away!

I always go here when I am in Lerwick. Friendly staff, they have even offered to store bags for me as I was struggling with a broken suitcase. No frills but excellent fish and chips, I agree with those who say they are better than Frankies at Brae. Not as cheap as it was though, £12 for a large fish and chips and they don't take cards so go prepared.
