The town of Granton on Spey is located in a great place because, it is perfect for exploring the Cairmgorn National Park, and while it is a small town, it offers plenty of good eating and stores.

We were very impressed with the level of service at Dunallan House, particularly the friendliness and attention to detail from the owners, David and Jayne. We stayed in room 7 which was great, as we had a huge bathroom with a separate shower and bath tub as well. The room had a wonderful tray of goodies from tea to sweets and night time drinks and the bed was big and comfy.

The highlight for us, apart from the great bathroom, was the best breakfest we've had in a long time. Be sure to ask for the smoked salmon, I am eternally grateful to jayne for bringing me a taste of it, as I was hesitant at first. My girlfriend had waffles which were equally great.

We tried very hard to vary our rating to give it least one item in there a 4, but we just couldn't do it. If you like to stay at B&B, Dunallan House is as good as it, a BIG thank you to Jayne and David for their hospitality, we felt perfectly at home for the 2 nights we were there, and we look forward to our next stay :)

Room Tip: If it's available, try room 7 :)

My boyfriend and I stayed the night at Dunallan House this weekend as we were passing through the Cairngorms. Our room was on the top floor and was lovely and spacious with a beautiful bed and cosy white toweling robes. Our bathroom was separate from the bedroom and was absolutely huge, with a stunning free-standing rolltop bath and separate power shower. The only nice addition would have been come compliementary toiletries as we've had in other B&Bs on our trip as we were almost out of shampoo and it was a shame not be provided with some bubble bath for the gorgeous bath, but this is a very minor point. We had a great and very peaceful night's sleep after a long drive during the day. Breakfast was lovely and the service from our host was fantastic. We would definitely recommend this B&B for anyone visiting Grantown on Spey.

WOW! What a B&B is all about and more! Owners are amazing people. Service & quality definetely come 1st, great breakfast which comes with room! I have traveled throughout France, Belgium, and many other countries and have stayed in many B&B's; the Dunallen House tops them all! I will return, and a major part of that are the owners David & Jayne who made us feel so welcome.

Highly recommended, and very close to distilleries and great golfing in the highlands!!

My husband and & stayed three nights at Dunallan House. Highly recommended with well appointed rooms and wonderful ensuite bathroom! Jayne & David are just lovely - very friendly, helpful with everything and made us feel quite at home. My favorite spot was sitting near the window for breakfast looking out at the day ahead! Breakfast itself was wonderful. Centrally located and easy to get around in Grantown and nearby scenery, highly recommend the welcoming pub down the street. Our stay here was the best of all places we have stayed during our trip to Scotland.
