We arrived a little ahead of the stated check in time and parked the car at the rear of the property and received a very warm welcome by the host and shown inside to our room which was ready. We had booked the attic room with separate private bathroom on the same floor. The room, number 7, was beautifully furnished and was really inviting and cosy. Biscuits, tea, coffee, WiFi and sweets were provided. In the bathroom that was just across the attic landing, there was everything you could need; bath salts and bubble bath for the stunning free standing roll top bath, soft towels and other toiletries. There was also a walk in shower. The views from both rooms looked out over the town and surrounding countryside. We enjoyed quiet and comfortable nights sleep and could even sleep with the window open with no noise! Our hosts made us feel so very welcome and provided maps of the town and surrounding countryside. And also spent time explaining other trips we could do, both on foot or in the car. A cooked breakfast was freshly prepared each morning and cereal, yoghurt, toast and preserves, as well as juices were available. Nothing was too much trouble and everything had been thought about. The cooked breakfast was large and delicious. We were disappointed we only had a 2 night stay as there was so much more we wanted to see and do after Stephen had told us so much about the surrounding area and further afield. We will definitely return and spend longer next time. Shops, bars and restaurants are very close by. Highly recommend.

On entry this looks like any Victorian guest house but don't be fooled. The room we stayed in was exceptional. Light and airy with everything a guest could want. Lovely dressing gowns , great choice of beverages and all toiletries. Breatfast was outstanding and our hosts could not do enough for you. See you next year.

Wonderful B&B.

Hosts v friendly & welcoming (we were paddling the Spey - let us leave all our wet gear in the shed and to dry out wet/dry suits in boiler room & let us stay to watch Japan defeat Ireland in rugby World Cup - particularly enjoyable as Stephen is Irish).

Great breakfast (great yoghurt, muesli etc and cooked b’fast v tasty and very well cooked).

Room tip: Very comfortable

From arrival to leaving we were very well treated by the hosts. They were full of advice of local places to visit, and had a lot of resources in their drawing room for you to select places to visit.

The room itself was comfortable, clean and warm, with an ensuite shower room.

Breakfast was the best we had on our Speyside Way trip. The bacon and black pudding were great. The selection of yoghurts, cereals and addons (syrups, seeds, nuts) were great. You were introduced to your fellow guests which gave lots of opportunity for sharing knowledge and made the shared dining table less awkward.

It was very handily located for both the town center and the Speyside way.
