This is one of those chain pubs that sells cheap and cheerful food and is very popular with families. You can book if it's a busy time of day. The place was packed initially, probably cos it was Good Friday but it's also one of the only pubs in the area so not a lot of choice. The staff did their best in a probably short staffed type of way. The place needed a bit more care with cleaning up after people had left like wiping sticky menus and tables. Having said that though, you know what you'll get on the tin, so not a lot to say or complain about.

We've been here several times and it's greatly improved over the years. Graham the manager runs a tight ship and the food and drink are reasonably priced but you should consider booking a table if you want to eat as it can get very busy.

An excellent pit stop on the way home. Great choice of menu with lots of alternatives from curry to burgers and roast dinner to fish and chips. Expect a bit of a wait for food at busy times but always found it is worth the wait.

This was our first visit to The Sandpiper and we enjoyed it very much. The staff were cheery, the service prompt and attentive and the food/drinks of a very good standard. What was also lovely to see was the mix of guests, ranging from tots to oaps.
