I really think some people are extremely dense at times. Reading how unfair a couple of the reviews are I wonder what people expect. This is not the Ritz or Claridges. It is a lovely bed and breakfast accomodation that is clean, tidy and obviously a labour of love for Dave and Lynn who are perfect hosts.
From start to finish nothing was too much trouble for them. The booking form stated that we were not allowed access to our room until 4pm. We found ourselves a couple of hours ahead of schedule and phoned ahead to see if we could have our room a couple of hours early. This was no problem to Lynn who duly obliged,
Our room ( Room 3 ) was spotlessly clean and tidy and was well appointed with towels and other necessaries. The kids (Rosie 6, Molly 4 and Poppy 18 months) loved the castle bunk beds and had great fun with them throughout our stay. The showering and toilet facilities were fine and storage space had been cleverley designed into the main bedroom area.
The full english breakfast was delicious and again nothing was too much trouble for Dave and Lynn. Much to our embarrassment he even found a way to cope with my 18 month old launching a piece of toast at him as he was passing. The tea, coffee, milk and orange juice were limitless and I am sure extra helpings...I really think some people are extremely dense at times. Why anyone would want to do this though beats me as it was more than ample.
The Galway is situated within a row of shops in a high street, there is a car park to the rear as there are parking restrictions at the front. This did not cause us any problems as the restrictions are light and allow for an hour to load if necessary.
If you want a swish, streamlined, trendy accomodation where the owners/staff look down thier noses at you this is not the place for you. If you want a good old fashioned seaside B and B where the owners are lovely, book this place now.
Thank you Dave and Lynn our stay was fantastic and we will be back.
Rosie, Molly and Poppy send thier love xMore
