Stopped off at the Whaler on the way back from Birmingham and had the 'regular' Haddock meal in the upstairs restaurant for £8.50 plus a portion of 'Chinese Style' Curry sauce between us.
There are other 'Deals' available but this one was big enough for us.
The Haddock was well cooked in a dark, crispy and non greasy batter (how do they do that?) with an ample portion of freshly cooked chips which more than justify's the waiting time.
By waiting for the coffee until the meal was served that was hot as well. Shame that they use that batch baked sliced bread. A bit of crusty Cob or French Stick would make a big difference.
