We have been here twice for afternoon tea and both times it was outstanding.
The lounge offers a seat by the cosy fire when it is cold or a picturesque view of the lake and fells when it is sunnier.
The choices of sandwiches and cakes were different each time, but beautifully presented and inspiring. As each mouthful melted away, its like a trip to paradise. The scones are just the right combination of crisp crust and warm soft buttery inside. Proper raspberry jam. Proper leaf tea, of course and prosecco if you wish. Great service too.
Lots of places do afternoon tea but this is one of the best.

Arrived at this lovely hotel on a snowy day - Wanna (think that was her name) a manageress took us into the lounge and gave us menus for the day. I chose duck and my friend chose the fish and chips. Both dishes were delicious. I then had a steamed whisky ginger pudding and my friend had a fruit crumble and again both were wonderful. The young lady from bury was a delightful waitress. The restaurant had a beautiful view of Windermere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will hopefully dine there again one day.

My husband and I visited in December as we were visiting family in the lakes. The hotel is lovely inside and out, very clean, spacious, well decorated. Our room was very warm and the beds are so comfy!
The staff were all very friendly, especially with it being a couple of days before Christmas! The views and surrounding scenery are absolutely gorgeous, they overlook Lake Windermere.
Our breakfast was absolutely outstanding, the best eggs Benedict we've both ever had in our lives!

Visited the Ryebeck for 1 night, and so glad we did. The room was clean and a nice size, lovely and warm which was also nice. The staff are all really friendly especially the young Hungarian chap on the bar(who made an excellent G+T). We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was sensational and worth every penny. Both agreed we will visit again and stay for a full weekend. Breakfast was also really good with a great selection of hot and cold.

We used a Travelzoo offer to have lunch here and what a great place it is. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the dining room has an incredible view over Windermere. The lunch menu was not massive but had some good dishes on it and none of our party struggled to find something. The main course of pork belly was truly stunning. Wine was reasonably priced and we enjoyed miniature desserts with coffee afterwards. This place really is hard to fault and we would definitely return.
