Good for one night. We wouldn't be able to do any longer. Hear people next to our room very noisy. Staff slow and not very good at English but not there fault. Small room. Hardly any channels on tv. Kettle was very dirty and we couldn't use it. Hard beds. Nice bathroom though. Shower takes a while to get hot. Very smelly corridors! All in all not the best but good for a night. Very cheap so good for the hotel as not great.

Having read other reviews we expected the worst, Booked an family room with Hubby and kids Aged 6 and 3. Wanted sea views got room at the back with view of flats and bins, Clean room but with 2 single beds and an Bunk bed, Bathroom was small and with shower cubical and new Shower though not an Power shower it worked and was at least able to get hot water. Had hostess tray with usual Tea and coffee etc but no Bottled Water maybe something to add for the future. Room was cleaned everyday and beds remade, rather dated Wardrobe in room but at least usuable is needed, not much other space for storage otherwise. Breakfast is an extra £6 per person per night if wanted served from 8am till 9am the usual Cereals etc and offer of something hot if wanted, Although not out of the ordinary it did fill us up until lunch. Hotel is close to the seafront with lots of Restaurants to choose from that offer breakfast if you want to stay in bed later. We ate dinner here one night and to be honest it took ages for an chicken burger and 1 pizza to arrive, they did apologize seems their not set up to offer an dinner service yet. Good stay if you just want an bed for the night but rather underwhelming in places, Staff friendly but Hotel needs some TLC in places.

I have to say that whenever I visit the Isle of Wight I always stay at the Mayfair Hotel. I've just booked my next holiday and very much looking forward to it. It's certainly a great location and a great place to stay. I've always found the staff helpful and courteous and the rooms I've stayed in were spot on. Everything you need at a great price. The beds have always been very comfortable and the bathrooms always kept very clean. Ideal to get down to the sea front and a short walk into town. I would thoroughly recommend the Mayfair as I have never been disappointed. Thanks guys and I look forward to seeing you next week.

We where visoting an elderly relative on tne isle of Wight. We stayed for 2 nights. 2 single rooms and 1 double for 3 people.
Nice clean friendly budget hotel. Lovely location. Very nice staff running the hotel who helped us with any problems we had.
Nice breakfast, which although was extra, was well worth the cost.
Recommended.

Very good value for money - although a bit 'tired' in places, the owners are slowly starting to improve the hotel.
Our bedroom was comfortable but basic, with a newly fitted bathroom.
The staff were nice and overall it was a low cost but very comfortable hotel.
