A terrific room with wonderful sea views. Good toiletries, well stocked mini bar and espresso machine. Downside was over convoluted in room entertainment system (very small Television screen), missing room 'nice to haves' i.e tissues, pen and paper, clock that worked etc. No car park but able to park near by in sister hotel and no passenger lift.
A point to note is although the quality of the food is superb the portion sizes are very small and are simply not value for money. We ordered for our dinner main courses the lamb and the halibut and my halibut arrived as a sliver with a bit of greenery on top (for just under £30). I asked the waitress (who was delightful) if this was it and could she inform the chef of my feelings which she did. She came back and apologised saying she had forgotten to mention the side dishes (which were strangely omitted from the menu). Each side dish was just under £5 making still a very small meal for £40. My partner had the same experience. We skipped the desserts and decided to fill up on cheese and biscuits (for £13,50). However the breakfasts were superb.More
