Lunch there with clients yesterday.
Couple of us ordered steak sandwich and burger with chips, when food arrived onions were cremated totally inedible and chips were probably the worst I have ever tasted.
When I complained to server she said 'yes the potatoes are not very good at the moment and she was sorry the onions were burnt but they had a rush of diners at 1pm' (3 other tables were occupied!).
Unimpressed

Visited here recently with a group of friends. Plenty of room and time to make our choices. Liked the menu which catered for carnivores whilst not forgetting veggies and the sweet potato fries are to die for. The chocolate brownie sundae was great for sharing. Would eat here again.

I dicided to take my girlfriend out for a juce meal on Saturday evening. We were greeted by the barman who was very pleasant. We wanted to have a drink in the bar and then move into the restaurant which he said would be fine, we ordered a bottle of house champagne, a lady came to the table and tried opening the bottle however she clearly had no idea as to the correct way of opening a bottle of champagne, this resulted in the bottle squirting everywhere. A lady whom we assumed was the manager came over laughing and asked the waitress what happened followed by a laugh, completely the wrong way in dealing with this. There was no offer to replace the bottle as a quarter of it was now on the floor, table and chair. We then waited for 20 minutes for a menu and nothing, I went up to the bar and asked where the barman was clearly embarrassed and bought us a couple. The menu is a big let down as the establishment clearly has no idea on what food it serves... Burgers to tempura veggies... Effectively pub food on a shocking excuse of a menu. We decided it was not worth staying and went down the road to a more refined eatery. Very disappointed and we shall not be back.

We recently ate here with some friends of ours for dinner in the evening, we all ordered something different for starters and i decided to order the buffalo chicken wings. For all the good things i had heard about this restaurant and having actually been to Buffalo itself and had the original wings there i was expecting something very similar at Salt with the reviews i had read. When the wings arrived and i started to eat them they were extremely greasy and actually tasted quite bland, they were very hot and cooked well but they were just like plain old ordinary chicken wings you could get anywhere else. Thankfully the main course made up for the average starter, i had the bedrock beef ribs and they were cooked very well and the meat was very tender and lovely to eat, i ordered them with a side of chunky chips and they also came with corn on the cob, the corn was quite dry but edible but apart from that the main course was very good. Overall a good experience, very good atmosphere and great staff helped to get a four star rating otherwise i probably would of given a three and a half.

We both had the Seabass and it couldn't have been nicer, lovely atmosphere too. Staff were also friendly, I'd recommend it to anyone!
