Just back from our family stay at The Ascot Hotel. With a family of 17 people, ranging from one year old to seventy. We had five rooms in total, 3 family rooms and 2 doubles. Everybody in the family was satisfied with their room, the family rooms were huge and the doubles were bigger than average. Bathrooms were clean and suitable for the room, the mums with babies were especially pleased that rubber bath mats were supplied to put in the bath, a great safety feature. 3 rooms had sea views and three not, surprising as the hotel is not on the promenade but very close and still with sea views. Breakfast was superb, even teenagers, who are always hungry were satisfied and two vegetarians in our family were super happy with their selection of food. We enjoyed evening meals in the hotel, once again the choice and price were excellent. All staff went the extra mile, a large party like ours cannot be easy to accommodate, they helped us celebrate a birthday for a 10 year old, making it special for her, they always helped with the babies in the dining room, high chairs were always available. Free tea and coffee was appreciated in the reception area for the 'oldies' to get some peace and quiet. We had several keen cyclists in our group and many bikes, these were kept close by in locked and secure accommodation. The hotel...Just back from our family stay at The Ascot Hotel. Overall! It was perfect for us and our large family group and have no hesitation in recommending. Thank you.More
