There is confusion in the reviews, as this business has two outlets appearing on the same tripadvisor site - this review is of the Duke Street cafe. I didn't really want to write a review, as it might encourage more people to visit, and I wanted to keep it all to myself! It really is a gem of a place, hidden away at the top of a previous department store building, reached by lift at the back of a cavernous cornucopia of a shop that sells - well, it's hard to describe. See for yourselves - a treasure-house of bric a brac for the discerning browser. But back to the café - it's a stunning airy room beneath the original roof rafters. Superb menu - forget your usual egg and chips, this is great! Salads, bagels, and an egg-lover's delight! So far I've sampled scrambled-eggs-to-die-for with bacon, and eggs benedict to-die-for, and am looking forward to working my way through the entire list. Nice smiley service, and the place is a touch above the usual burger, prams and rowdy kids brigade. I wish we'd found this place ages ago, and now that we have, I want to keep it all to myself.
