An excellent small restaurant offering extensive fresh fish dishes. A real treat for an afterwork dinner. You'll need to book at weekends
We came here under the recommendation of a friend for dinner.
We ordered the crab claws for a starter. I was surprised by the number of crab claws it came with. It was surrounded by a siracha white wine and butter sauce. Absolutely delicious.
We ordered the chefs special for main. It was a mackerel dish. There were two mackerel fillets on a vegetables and queenies. Don't let the look of the size fool you, there's way more mackerel than meets the eye. The food was filling and delicious. If you come here - do try the chefs specials. Great service. Great seafood.
We stopped off for a drink outside lunchtime and asked for a table for the evening. they could fit us in but only at 5 p.m. as they were fully booked? but they were not joking. We arrived at 5 and by 6.30 every table was occupied inside and out.
The food was superb, we shared a starter as they were so big, had Lobster thermidor ( one of the best ever) and shared a sticky toffee pudding style desert with the most tasty sauce ever. fasinating to watch the 2 chefs turning out the most amazing food in a kitchen that was tiny, so tiny that they ladles etc had to be carried downstairs to be washed before being reused.
last but not least the staff were excellent and they were the same staff from lunchtime , i would have been on my knees , i salute you all.
