We have been staying at Varley House for many years as it is the perfect place to stop before and after a trip to Lundy. Hospitable hosts, clean and modern rooms and bathrooms and a tasty breakfast all at great value. The harbour and town centre is a relaxing walk away. Would highly recommend.

A lovely comfy B&B with wonderful hosts. Always a pleasure to stay here, AND the breakfasts are lovely. We were off to Lundy Island so it is always nice to stay here beforehand. We are allowed to leave our cars here too which is amazing. Nice rooms with comfy beds and nice bathrooms.

Hotel is very clean and tidy. Good choice of options for breakfast, and the food was cooked well. Left our car there whilst we stayed on Lundy. Very friendly hosts, and Rob was informative and helpful.

I have been using Varley House as a staging post for adventures in North Devon for many years. The reason is simple - it is a lovely, comfortable and well appointed B&B, where one is very well looked after. Rod, who is front of house, could not be more helpful and the communications with him are clear and prompt. Varley House itself is a short walk into Ilfracombe and all its amenities, and an even shorter walk to some good local places to eat and drink. The views from the first floor are nice too! Oh, and as my son also attests, the breakfasts are great!

Ideal location, Rod and the team very helpful and knowledgable of the area. Always happy to answer any questions. Breakfast and service was good quality, lots of choices. Was our first visit, already booked to go back in July. Enjoyable time!
