We had a great stay in Varley House. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and clean. Everything was tastefully done. The breakfast room was super cosy. The hosts offered an incredible breakfast. The communication was easy and smooth.
The only thing I should mention is that it's a bit of a walk downhill to the harbour, but we had a car so no issue.

Rod was excellent in responding to any questions I had prior to booking/visiting and very welcoming and friendly on our arrival.
Room was ideal ( we could see the sea!) and bathroom lovely and clean with a massive bath! Lots of toiletries provided and little extras which I didn't expect.
The whole house felt like a home from home with balcony, lounge and large dining area, with pleasant garden outside also. Fish tank in hallway was a bonus!
Great choice for breakfast, quick service and all very nice.
We were able to park at the property which was a big plus. We didn't use our car for our stay as chose to walk the 10 or so minutes into town etc and it was great to have peace of mind that the car was parked up safely. We thought Varley House was an excellent location with proximity to local places of interest, but in what felt a safe quiet area. We did do lots of walking, but that's also what attracted us to it.

We had a great stay for one night.
The room and bathroom were spotless.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
Breakfast was really good too.
A 10 minute walk to the harbour, shops and restaurants. The walk back is uphill but we took it slowly.
We found a parking space easily on the road.

What a wonderful place! Rod is a fantastic host, very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious, with lovely views. The cooked breakfast was delicious. Location is spot on, you can walk down to the harbour in 10 minutes (make it 15 for the way back, as the last bit will be a bit steep, but that gives you the fantastic views). We'll definitely be back!

A lovely accommodation in Ilfracombe with excellent breakfast ( a lot of choices ).
Very quiet. easy and short walk to Ilfracombe Harbour. We had a double room with great sea view for two nights, everything was very clean . Thanks a lot to the hosts.
