Owner description: With lots to see and do, rides to suit everyone and free entry, Southport Pleasureland is a fantastic day out for the whole family. Clean, bright and bursting with activities for the whole family, Southport’s premier leisure attraction is sure to bring fun and laughter to every visitor. In 2016 we have brand new rides to experience, new performances around the park by our resident actors and magician, a fabulous family amusement arcade, a brand new coffee area serving beautiful Illy coffee, fun and games on the stalls, gift shop, food and drink outlets and the park is totally free to enter!

We were going to Blackpool but traffic was at a standstill so came to Southport instead. Great day out and pleasantly surprised. Free to enter and pay by rude on a card. Card easy to use but could get expensive with a family all going on rides.
Had 2 adults and 2 teen kids with us. Everything not open but was early in the season. Definatly going to take the younger kids in the next holidays.

Overall it is very overpriced for the rides. Kids enjoyed it, but better to take them to gullivers world as they can go on the rides there as many times as they like for less money. Probably wouldn’t go again unless pricing structure was changed.

This reminds me of the old Blackpool Pleasure Beach where you could walk around and only pay to go on the rides you want. The rides range from larger Park rides to those seen on traveling funfairs. Close to the promenade the key selling point for me was the flexibility to come and go. My teenage daughter had a great time.

Went to Southport Pleasureland April 29th 2018. Had a good day with 2 kids (2&6) and the 4 rating was more for the enjoyment over value for money. Some rides good value others shockingly overpriced. Toddlers rides were £2 or & £2.50 each lasting only a matter of minutes. The hook a duck was £3 per go and a go on the trampolines was £2 for 5 minutes which makes Velocity seem really cheap. The site promotes cashless system and you have to front load cards to use when joining a ride. The rides cost a number of tokens that get discounted electronically when the attendant scans your card. Each token effectively costs £1. A lot of the rides don't have the number of tokens needed clearly displayed so you find yourself asking all the time. You also can get to the front of a queue only to find you don't have enough credit on your card as it isn't displayed anywhere. It would be useful to have card readers near each ride so you can keep track of your total??
The food outlets were really good and reasonably priced and the staff are all very friendly!! Just need to sort out the pricing rather than being a rip off!! Big rides....3 tokens is fine!! Toddler rides should be 1 token each or 1.5 at a push. As for the trampolines....5 minutes is well stingy and again leaves you feeling ripped off.
Overall a good day out just a little too expensive compared to other places.
