We booked a tribute weekend with UK Breakaways on the Friday the one bar-staff could not cope and the queue was horrendous at least a 25min wait everyone complained and an extra person was working the following night.
The main problem was sleep deprivation with the noise from Maloneys Night Club it was absolutely horrendous our beds were vibrating!!!!! We were directly above 2 floors up room 214 god knows what it was like right on top.....I bought earplugs for the second night but was still woken up the music was finally turned off at FOUR THIRTY AM!!!!
I asked reception after the first night where on earth the noise was coming from....They said a club at the back of the hotel that didn't belong to them.....Absolute rubbish.. it was coming from Malonys which in the day is a snack and at the night time a club heaving with local young people which starts filling up about midnight. They have bouncers on the door!! (we went in and saw it and listened to it ) Everyone was complaining about it .The room itself was clean enough and the tribute acts were really good.....Food ok too

Queued 25mins at the bar for drinks.. In a private room that wasn't that full but far too busy for 1 bar person.... It meant if you are a couple one of u is sat on your own half of the night very very annoying!!! Complained to reception about it but doubt it will be rectified
The food was OK and the room dated but clean

Called ahead to say we would be late checking in as problems with car on travels and asked about parking. Spoke to a woman on the phone who was less than helpful. We spent 15 minutes looking for some where to park and ended up having to park on a main road at the back and move the car at 8am to avoid car parking charges. When we arrived we spoke to a young gentleman who said our reservation was cancelled which he resolved (only positive, he was actually quite helpful). we took the lift which kept skipping the second floor, We then found our room 230 on the second floor right next to a stair way that lead to the night club on the ground floor. We were in a VERY small double with a very small window right by the ceiling letting in very little light as it was filthy. We could hear the music from the ground floor. The young receptionist had told us that they play music every night until 1am. The second night we had the tv on and head phones in and we could still hear the music. It was only because we were so tired that we managed to get some sleep. The hotel could do with a makeover, it looks like it's still in the 40's. Both my wife and i will not stay here again or recommend to anyone.

Check in quick. Reasonable size room, plenty of storage, high ceilings.
Ladies there is a useful full length mirror. Bathroom clean with bath and shower.
Food was tasty and is self-service. After three course meal there is coffee in the cocktail bar. Check, if there is entertainment in the ballroom, usually a singer. Popular music suitable for ballroom/Latin, sequence, line or rock' 'roll or just listening.
Plenty of hot water but take a warm cardigan if weather cold as you would for any old
hotel. Overall good value and staff helpful.

Room Tip: There is a lift, corridors are wide. Ask for a quieter room away from street noise if necessary.

It is 1:51 on Friday morning I feel like im in some karoke nightmare. Thank god kids sleep thru anything. There is some beeping alarm outside bedroom door. Rang reception obv asleep or in karoke bar. I will NOT be staying for our 2nd nite. So much potential but needs a fortune spent on it and some council laws on noise
