We stayed here last night just as an overnight stop on a day out and we were greeted by Ryan who was really friendly and helpful. He showed us to our room and offered to carry our cases. The room was clean and the bed was comfy and we also had tea and coffee making facilities. The corridor is a bit squeaky so you do hear people walking past but you can't hear other rooms. Breakfast was nice and arrived quickly. Cereal, juice and coffee was self service and then a hot breakfast was cooked to order. Ideal location for a day out in Southport and there is a carpark at the hotel too which was a bonus. It is not luxury but does not claim to be. Would stay here again.

We attended for a family wedding reception here recently. The day was well planned out by the hotel, the tables were set out really well and the service was excellent. At lot of attention to detail and care was given by the staff and nothing was too much for them.

Visited this hotel from the 7th to the 11th of May overall the hotel, rooms, food and staff were all very good. The location of the hotel is ideal for the town centre which is within easy walking distance
The only down side is no lifts for people with disabilities
Overall a good 5 days

Spent two nights at the Talbot hotel, using Southport as a base for the Champions League Final screening at Anfield. Couldn't have asked for more. Owner's son stayed up late to check us in, which was much appreciated. Great breakfast, with good service. Room was good. Made to feel welcome during our stay. Good location. Thanks. One downside Liverpool didn't win....

myself and my parents stayed in the Talbot hotel last week, i can honestly say we enjoyed every minute of it.The hotel was lovely and clean, could not fault the breakfast and evening meal, it was hot and well presented. Gilbert who owns the hotel came and asked if everything was ok everyday which it was, the staff were well dressed and very friendly to everyone, nothing was to much trouble for them.Hopefully we will be back later on in the year
