Met up after work with an old friend who lives near here and she recommended it as an option for our dinner having visited once before. I'd not eaten Vietnamese food before but love Thai so was happy to give it a go.
We opted for a pavement table as it was a warm sunny Eve and the inside decor is quite dark. My friend recalled the cocktails were good so we both ordered Phojitos which were excellent - good kick of alcohol but fresh with the mint like a Mojito. My friend is vegetarian so chose an interesting DIY spring roll tofu and pancake dish which was a very good size and I loved my crispy squid with lime dressing. I then had a chicken and prawn wok fried noodles dish which was very tasty and she had a veggie noodle dish topped with crispy spring rolls which was bigger than she could manage. We both commented on all the lovely fresh flavours. I found it quite different to Thai in style but would definitely choose Vietnamese food again if this is a good example. Prices were reasonable and portion sizes good. Waiting staff were really charming and friendly despite being busy.
