I'm rather confused by the previous reviews - this place claims to be an Indian Resturant, i stayed at the hotel a month ago, went in wanting an Indian meal and was given a bar menu and told that 'we dont do that anymore' ?!?
I then had to wait 40 minutes for over priced gamon. Very strange setup, but if you are using the best western as airport parking, you dont have much choice but to eat here. I was staying 5 nights, so found a very nice (actual) Indian takeaway a mile down the road.

Staying at the hotel again, but wont bother with the resturant again.

Thank Kelly B

We were staying 1 night at the Great Western Skylark Hotel, We saw that there was an Indian Restaurant and the Watershed bar and restaurant attached to the hotel, and having driven 250 miles up from Wales, and facing a long haul flight the following day decided to eat in. The table areas for both restaurants appear to over lap, and we found ourselves seated in the Watershed bar area, but OK to order from the Indian menu, which was not restricted to the usual Tikka Misalas, or Korma dishes, but included a range of unfamiliar dishes. the service was good, and the food delicious - best Indian meal I've experienced in a long while. The only reason for downgrading to 4 stars was the decor of the Watershed bar dinning area

Book a table to sit in or take away available. Some of the nicest tastiest indian dishes locally, reasonably priced. Very good food. Been a few times now. Would not hesitate to recommend. Is attached to a hotel so good for travellers coming in from Gatwick. A great restaurant,.

We were staying 1 night at the Great Western Skylark Hotel, Tuesday 31st May, we were pleased to see that there was an Indian Resturant and the Watershed bar and restaurant attached to the hotel.

Decided to have an Indian meal for dinner, on arrival at the restaurant we were told it was very busy and there could be a 30 minute wait, they were catering for a coach party in the conference room. The delay was not a problem, we were happy to wait and have a drink at our table while deciding what to eat.

We asked to see the Indian menu, and this was the first disappointment, we were advised that the Indian restaurant was closed and we were given the Watershed Bar menu, which was not very exciting.

Eventually we ordered our food, chicken ham and leek pie £7.95 and  Aberdeen Angus burger £9.45 with a New Yorker topping £1 extra. The pie should have been served with onion gravy and peas, there were no peas and the only thing that was in the gravy was bits of lettuce. Informed the waiter that the peas were missing, he said he would get some, still waiting. Mentioned the lettuce floating in hot gravy and was informed that it was a new style. The burger meal was average and was served warm.

Our 2 drinks came to £7.90, there was no real ale on sale. Our bill for the evening came to £42.10 for the 2 of us, but 10% service charge was automatically added to the bill, making the total £46.31,which was a bit of a cheek, as the service was poor.

Went to the bar to pay the bill, the bar counter and rubber drip mats looked as if they need a good clean, did not appear to have been done for a while.

(Not sure if Diya Indian Resturant is permanently closed or if it was just closed on the evening we were there)
